Released only as a download on Sunday 8 May 2016, Radiohead's ninth studio album 'A Moon Shaped Pool' debuted at no.1 on the Global Album Chart with 303,000 copied sold globally! 173,100 digital copies were sold in the USA and 49,400 in the United Kingdom. This score is much better than Radiohead's former LP 'King Of Limbs' which debuted at no.4 globally with 152,000 copies in 2011.

'Lemonade' by Beyoncé holds tight at No.2 after selling another 258,000 copies, for a total of 1,285,000 after three weeks on the tally.

Last week's big no.1, 'Views' by the Canadian rapper and R&B star Drake, slips to no.3. Started after stellar sales of 1,109,000 the 1st week, selling another 254,000 copies in the second week for a total of 1,363,000 copies so far.

There are 6 albums on this week with sales in the six-digit range. Beside Radiohead, Beyoncé and Drake, South Korean boy group the Bangtan Boys (also known as BTS) debuts at no.4 with 'The Most Beautiful Moment In Live, Young Forever' and sales of 172,000 in South Korea and Japan (according to Hanteo and Oricon).

New Zealand born/Australian country music artist Keith Urban is at no.5 with his ninth sutdio Album 'Ripcord' and 119,000 sales.

Finally the 'Very Best Of' compilation by Prince is at no.6 after selling another 106,000 copies.
