The 5th EP by BTS, also known as the Bangtan Boys is the World's
best-selling Album! The Album debuted at no.7 in the United States, no.3
in Canada, no.14 in United Kingdom, no.8 in Australia, no.9 in New
Zealand and no.57 in Germany..This is the first time in history that a
K-pop album charted so high in all these countries! In Korea the EP sold
455,893 copies on its first day at retail, and 748,279 after one week
(according to Hanteo). Both figures are new all time records in South
Korea! On the Global Rank, 'Love Yourself 承 Her' debuts at N°1 with
826,000 equivalent sales, the second highest week of the year, after Ed
Sheeran's 'Divide' enterted the chart with 1,789,000 sales in week 11.


The Second highest debut of the week is the 9th studio album by the
American rock band Foo Fighters, founded 1994 by ex-Nirvana drummer Dave
Grohl. 'Concrete And Gold' is the World's 2nd best-selling Album of the
past week with 277,000 consumption units, 127,000 of it in the US alone,
another 61,300 in the UK, 18,600 in Australia and 14,000 in Canada!


EXO's 'The War' (Korean & Mandarin Version) which was N°1 last week,
sells another 98.000 equivalent sales this week and a total of 1.351.000
since its release!


Ed Sheeran's 'Divide' sells another 82.000 equivalent sales and a total
of 7.341.000. It is still the best-selling Album by far of 2017!


Lil Uzi Vert's 'Luv Is Rage 2' is the 5th best-selling Album with 63.000
equivalent sales and a total of 376.000.


At N°6 is Imagine Dragons' 'Evolve' with 55.000 equivalent sales this
week and a total of 1.100.000!
Xxxtentacion's '17' scores another 53.000 equivalent sales at N°7, for a
total of 309.000!
Kendrick Lamar's 'Damn.' is N°8 with 51.000 equivalent sales this week
and a total of 3.050.000!
New entry for Prophets of Rage with their self entitled Album which
scores 49.000 equivalent sales this 1st week!


Thomas Rhett's 'Life Changes' cweek's top closes this week's top 10 with
equivalent sales of 44,000 this week and 177.000 since its release.

EXO's latest album, a repackage version of 'The War', has sold another
337,000 copies, and goes straight back to the top of the Global Album
Chart, where it debuted 7 weeks ago with massive sales of 476,000! With
the new version, the total sales of 'The War' exceeed 1,253,000 copies.

The highest debut of the week is 'Sleep Well Beast', the 7th studio
album by the American indie rock band The National. It is no.2 globally
with 135,000 in equivalent sales, 63,000 from the US, 20,000 from the UK
and 10,000 from Canada (according to Nielsen Soundscan / OCC).

At no.3 is 'Life Changes', the 3rd album from country-pop singer Thomas
Rhett which debuts with 133,000 equivalent sales, 123,000 of it in the
United States alone.

Ed Sheeran's 'Divide' slips one from 3 to 4 with 86.000 equivalent sales
this week and a total of 7.259.000 since its release. it is still the
World's best-selling Album of 2017!

French Group Indochine officiel's brand new Album '13' debuts at No. 5
with 1st week equivalent sales of 81.000!

Lil Uzi Vert's 'Luv Is Rage 2slips from 2 to 6 with 69.000 equivalent
sales this week and a total of 313.000.
New entry for ODESZA's 'A Moment Apart' with 1st week sales of 68.000!

Jack Johnson debuts with 'All The Light Above It To' and 1st week sales

"Look What You Made Me Do" is No. 1 in the US for a 3rd week and N°1 on
the global track chart for a 2nd non consecutive week! The song has
broken a string of records, including the record for the most plays in a
single day on Spotify. It has topped the charts in eleven countries and
received Platinum certifications in both Australia and Canada!


The song was the most streamed song within a week by a female artist and
second overall behind the 103 million that Baauer's "Harlem Shake"
gained in 2013. The track also had more weekly streams in the US than
any other song in 2017. With 353,000 copies sold in its first week,
"Look What You Made Me Do" opened atop the US Digital Songs chart and
had the country's biggest sales opening since Justin Timberlake's "Can't
Stop the Feeling!" in 2016 as well as the best weekly sales for a song
by a female artist since Adele's "Hello" in 2015. It additionally was
the first N°1 song by a female solo artist to top the US charts since
Adele's "Hello".


In the UK, "Look What You Made Me Do" sold 20,000 copies and was
streamed 2.4 million times in less than a week. The song debuted atop
the UK Singles Chart on September 1, 2017 for the week ending date
September 7, 2017 with opening sales of 30,000 copies and 5.3 million
streams within the week, becoming Swift's first N°1 song in Britain.


"Look What You Made Me Do" also opened at N°1 in Australia, becoming
Taylor's fifth track to top the ARIA Charts. The song has been certified
Platinum by the Australian Recording Industry Association (ARIA) for
shipments of 70,000 units. After debuting at number one on the Canadian
Hot 100, "Look What You Made Me Do" was also certified Platinum by Music
Canada for shipments of 80,000 units on September 14, 2017. It
additionally topped the charts in the Czech Republic, Ireland, New
Zealand, Slovakia and the the Philippines.


"Look What You Made Me Do" was cowritten by Taylor and Jack Antonoff.
The song samples the melody of the 1991 song "I'm Too Sexy" by the band
Right Said Fred, and the band members Fred Fairbrass, Richard Fairbrass,
and Rob Manzoli are also credited as songwriters. The music video was
directed by Joseph Kahn and became the most-watched music video within
24 hours.

New York based rock band LCD Soundsystem with frontman James Murphy has
this week's highest debut with 'American Dream', the World's top-selling
Album, and 122,000 equivalent sales, 85,000 of it from the US alone
according to Nielsen Soundscan, another 11,900 from the UK according to
the Official charts and 7,000 from Canada, according to Nielsen
Soundscan. The band's former LP 'This Is Happening' went to No.11 in
2010 with 61,000 sales.

Lil Uzi Vert's 'Luv Is Rage 2' moves up one to No. 2 with 87.000
equivalent sales this week and a total of 244.000 since its release.

Ed Sheeran's 'Divide' moves up 2 spots from No. 5 to 3, shifting another
86.000 in equivalent sales this week and a total of 7.173.000 since its
release in March!

Xxxtentacion's '17' holds for a 2nd week at No. 4 after selling
76.000 equivalent sales this week for a grand total of 194.000!

Imagine Dragons' 'Evolve' rockets 5 spots, from 10 to 5,
with 62.000 equivalent sales this week and 990.000 totally!

Irish pop/rock Act The Script, this week's second greatest Gainer,
debuts at no.6 with their 5th Album 'Freedom Child' and 60,000
equivalent sales, 29,600 of it from the UK, according to the Official
charts.

Kendrick Lamar's Former No. 1, 'Damn.' moves up 2 from 9 to 7 with
60.000 equivalent sales this week and 2.947.000 totally! Its the
best-selling Album in America this year and the 2nd Best-selling
worldwide after Ed Sheeran's 'Divide'!

Last week's global chart-topper, 'Villains' by Queens of the Stone Age,
slips from No. 1 no. 8 with 60,000 additional sales this week and a
total of 246,000!

South Korean girl group BLACKPINK debuts with its self-titled LP at No.
9 this week with 42,000 sales according to Oricon.

Keisuke Kuwata's 'Garakuta' slips from 2 to 10 this week with 42.000
equivalent sales and 220.000 totally!

AKB48 sold 1,036,551 physical copies of its latest single "# Sukinanda"
on its first day of release according to Oricon! It's the 26th number
one for the J-Pop Girl Band and their first No. 1 in 2017!

AKB48 is named after the Akihabara (Akiba for short) area in Tokyo,
where the group's theater is located. AKB48's producer, Yasushi Akimoto,
wanted to form a girl group with its own theater, performing daily so
fans could always see them live. This "idols you can meet" concept
includes teams which can rotate performances and perform simultaneously
at several events and "handshake" events, where fans can meet group
members; Akimoto has expanded the AKB48 concept to several sister groups
in China, Japan and Indonesia, with upcoming groups announced for the
Philippines, Taiwan and Thailand.

AKB48 is one of the best-selling and highest-earning musical performers
in Japan, with 2013 sales of over $128 million, and has been
characterized as a social phenomenon. As of June 2017, the group has
sold over 50 million records, including over 6 millon albums. AKB48 is
the highest selling musical act in Japan in terms of singles sold.
AKB48's thirty-five latest singles have topped the Oricon Weekly Singles
Chart, with thirty singles selling over a million copies each. Their
highest selling single, "Tsubasa wa Iranai", sold over 2.5 million in
2016 according to Billboard / Soundscan. In 2010, "Beginner" and "Heavy
Rotation" placed first and second, respectively, on the list of Japan's
best-selling singles for the year. From 2011 to 2016, AKB48's singles
have occupied the top four or five spots of the Oricon Yearly Singles
Chart!
