In the USA 'Uptown Funk!' tops the Billboard Hot 100 a 13th week. It's just the 10th single in history to spend at least 13 weeks at No.1 there. On the Global Chart the smash needs another two weeks at no.1 for a place in the Top 10 with the tracks with the longest stay at the top. Only five additional weeks at the summit and 'Uptown Funk!' will be set a new all-time record! At the moment there's no new no.1 in sight, the current no.2 smash, Ellie Goulding's 'Love Me Like You Do', loses another 6% in points to 352.000. Japanese boy band Kis-My-Ft2 land their fourth Global Top 10 success, 'Kiss Damashii' shoots at no.6 with 251.000 points.
This week's best-selling Album is a J-pop Album. '19: Road To Amazing World', the new LP by pop and dance group Exile, with global sales of 204.000, according to Oricon.
Last week's no.1, Kendrick Lamar's 'To Pimp A Butterfly', slips to no.2 with sales of 158.000 copies and a a total of 573.000 after two weeks on the charts.
James Bay's Album 'Chaos And The Calm' is at no.3 this week after selling 131.000 copies globally, 61.900 of those in the UK, 20.100 in the USA and around 15.000 in Germany.
Sam Smith's 'In The Lonely Hour' rises from no.8 to no.4, having sold 87.000 copies this week and a grand total of 4.609.000.
The third-highest debut after Exile and James Bay is the 31 year-old American rapper Action Bronson. His third album 'Mr. Wonderful' arrives at no.10 with sales of 55.000.
'Uptown Funk!' by Mark Ronson feat. Bruno Mars is no.1 for a 14th week! For a time it seemed that Ellie Goulding's 'Love Me Like You Do' could overtake Ronson's mega hit. But now the gap between the two smashes has widened. The Japanese girl group AKB 48 managed to overtake the global sales tally of "Uptown Funk' the week ending March 14 when "Green Flash" debuted at no.1 in Japan selling a million copies.
The highest debut this week comes from girl idol Band, Nogizaka 46. Their 11th single release 'Inochi Wa Utsukushii' races to no.3 on the global charts. According to Oricon the song sold around half a million units in its first week at retail, and it's the best selling single of the girlie band so far.
'To Pimp A Butterfly' is Kendrick Lamar's third studio album and first global no.1 after selling 415.000 copies this first week, 324.400 of those units were sold in America, 26.000 in the United Kingdom and 25.000 in Canada. The 27 year old Rapper's former album 'Good Kid M.a.a.d. City' debuted at no.2 the last week of October 2012, selling 266.000 its first week, blocked only by Taylor Swift's 'Red' album, which sold a massive 1.459.000 copies. Taylor Swift's '1989' is the best selling Album of the first quarter of 2015 and has shifted 2.133.000 copies. Ed Sheeran's 'X' has dsold 1.796.000 copies so far and Sam Smith's 'In The Lonely Hour' has sales of 1.643.000.
At no.2 in this week's global chart is British guitarist Mark Knopfler's 'Tracker'. The Album has sold 156.000 buyers in its first week, with 40,000 units sold in Germany, 35.000 copies in the USA and 20.500 in the UK.
At no.3 this week is Madonna's 'Rebel Heart', with sales of 103.000.

Now after the re-recording with John Legend, 'Lay Me Down' exploded globally and is this week's highest debut at no.6. This is the fourth Global Top 10 smash for Grammy Award winner Sam Smith.
