Songwriter Hikaru Utada, rockets to the top of this week's Global Album
Chart after selling 265,000 copies in its initial week, 252,581 of these

group Exile's sixth best-of compilation 'Extreme Best' sold 178,401

the United States, another 19,000 in United Kingdom, around 8,000 in
Germany, 7,000 in Canada and 5,300 in Australia.

Only one album from last week's Top 10 reappears on the current tally.

'Closer' tops the Global Track Chart for a fourth non-consecutive week. "Closer" was released on July 29, 2016
In the United States, becoming both The Chainsmokers and Halsey's first number one single on the Billboard Hot 100. "Closer" debuted at number nine on the Billboard Hot 100 on August 20, 2016. It became the third top ten single for The Chainsmokers on the chart, after "Roses" and "Don't Let Me Down". It is Halsey's first top ten on the chart and her second top forty. The song moved from number six to one, becoming both artists' first number-one song and the first song by a duo to top the chart since Macklemore & Ryan Lewis's "Thrift Shop" and "Can't Hold Us" in 2013. "Closer" also topped the Dance/Electronic Songs chart, becoming the first song to reach number one on both the Hot 100 and the Dance/Electronic chart simultaneously since Baauer's "Harlem Shake" in early 2013. It became the duo's fourth number one song to top the EDM chart, passing Calvin Harris' previous record of three songs. It went on to top the Hot 100 chart for six consecutive weeks. In its fourth week, the song was joined by "Heathens", which moved from number 3 to number 2. This marks the first time (and the third time overall) that duos have held the top two spots at the same time since Tears for Fears was on top with "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" and Wham! was number 2 with "Everything She Wants".

Internationally, the song reached number-one in Australia on August 13, 2016, also becoming both The Chainsmokers' and Halsey's first number-one song there. It also peaked at number one in the UK, New Zealand and Canada. The song topped the UK Singles Chart for two weeks, becoming the first song by a duo to log multiple weeks at number one in both the US and the UK since LMFAO's "Party Rock Anthem" in 2011. A lyric video for the song was released on July 29, 2016, and has amassed over 312 million views.

The New runner-up is 'Let Me Love You' by DJ SNAKE feat. Justin Bieber, replacing Major Lazer's 'Cold Water', which slips to no.3.

The Highest debut of the week is 'Power Of The Paradise' by Arashi. The track debuts at no.5 and is the 27th Global Top 10 success for the legendary Japanese idol boy group.

The Second highest debut comes from Scottish record producer, singer / songwriter and DJ Calvin Harris. His new smash 'My Way' debuts at no.10 globally.
