British rock band Bring Me The Horizon jumps atop the tally with their fifth album 'That's The Spirit'

This week the top three positions of the Global Album Chart are occupied by heavy metal Bands. British rock band Bring Me The Horizon debuts at the top of the chart with their fifth album 'That's The Spirit' after selling 159,000 copies this first week worldwide. Most of the sales are from the USA (55,200) and UK (43,500). Close behind is the American metal legend Slayer. Their 12th studio album 'Repentless' is the band's best-selling album so far and debuts at No.2 with 124,000 copies sold. Last week's No.1, Iron Maiden, drop to No.3 this week with their new LP 'The Book Of Souls', after selling a total of 96,000 copies globally, a 69% sales decline compared to the previous week.

 

A fortnight ago The Weeknd's 'Beauty Behind The Madness' debuted with global sales of 449,000. Tthis week the album drops one slot to No.4 with sales of 90,000. The Album has sold a total of 674,000 in three weeks and is the.33rd best selling Album this year! Taylor Swift's '1989' is still the biggest seller of 2015 with sales of 3,568,000. Ed Sheeran's 'X' is just behind with sales of 3,291,000 and Sam Smith's 'In The Lonely Hour' is in #rd position after selling  2,822,000 units.


'Cast In Steel'' by A-ha sold 15,000 copies last week and reaches a total of 47,000 so far. 'Chambre 12' by Louane sold 13,000 units last week, 579,000 so far. 'Drones' by Muse sold also 14,000 units last week and has a total of 873,000 copies so far, 'Meliora' by Ghost sold 94,000 copies so far. 'Rebel Heart' by Madonna sold a total of 799,000 copies, and 'Tracker' by Mark Knopfler 593,000.
