BTS' "Butter" Rockets To #1 On The United World Chart!

BTS’s “Butter” has shot to #1 atop the United World Chart with 556,000 points! Released on May 21, 2021 via Big Hit and Sony Music, it's the band’s 2nd English-language single. “Butter” set a new all-time record for the biggest song debut in Spotify history with 11.042 million first day streams, breaking Ed Sheeran & Justin Bieber’s first day record of 10,977 million streams with “I Don’t Care”. “Butter” also broke the record for fastest song to reach 100 Million streams, surpassing the mark on its 8th day. “Butter” debuted at #1 on the Gaon Download chart in Korea and at #1 on the Oricon Weekly Digital Singles Chart this week with 52.821 downloads, marking the biggest weekly streaming debut in Oricon chart history with BTS becoming the Artist with the most #1s (3 with “Dynamite” & “Film Out”). ”Butter” debuted atop the US Hot 100, giving BTS its 4th No. 1 in just 9 months, with the group becoming the fastest artist since Justin Timberlake in 2007 and the fastest group since the Jackson 5 in 1970!
