BTS' new chart topping album 'BE' debuts at #1 on the United World Chart with massive 1st week sales of 2,444,000, making history as the 1st Act ever to top the United World Album & Singles chart simultaneously!

BTS makes history as the first Act ever to top the United World Album & Singles chart simultaneously. Their brand new album 'BE' debuts on the United World Chart with massive 1st week sales of 2,444,000! The new album goes straight to #9 on the 2020 year-end list, where the band's former album, 'Map Of The Soul: 7' leads with sales of 6,418,000! 'Map Of The Soul: 7' sold 3,707,000 equivalent album units in its first week. 'BE' is BTS' 5th album to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, selling 242,000 album-equivalent units in its 1st week in the US with BTS becoming the fastest group to earn five chart-topping albums since the Beatles in 1968. BTS also became the only act besides
Taylor Swift
to debut atop the Hot 100 and the Billboard 200 simultaneously! BTS also became the first group and 9th overall act to top the Artist 100, Hot 100, and Billboard 200 charts simultaneously. The album was also their 4th chart-topper in Canada. 'BE' debuted at #1 on the Gaon Album Chart in Korea with first week sales of 2.274 million copies on the Hanteo Chart, representing the second-highest first week sales in the chart's history, after 'Map of the Soul: 7.' 'BE' became BTS' 8th consecutive million seller in the country. In Japan, 'BE' entered at #1 on the Oricon Albums Chart, selling 191,208 copies in its first week. 'BE' debuted at #2 on the UK Albums Chart, becoming BTS' 4th Top 10 album in the UK. In Ireland, the album topped the Irish Albums Chart, becoming the band's 2nd chart-topper in the country following 'Map of the Soul: 7'. The album was also BTS' 3rd chart-topper in New Zealand! 'BE' became BTS' 1st chart topper in Belgium (Flanders) and in Norway. It also hit #1 in Denmark, Lithuania, Poland and Portugal. In Australia, 'BE' debuted at #2 on the ARIA Albums chart, BTS' 7th Top 10 album in the country. The album also hit #2 in Finland, France, Italy, the Netherlands and Switzerland. 'BE' peaked at #3 in Sweden and Belgium (Wallonia), #4 in Germany and Hungary, #5 in the Czech Republic and Scotland and #14 in Iceland!
The repackaged version of BTS' 2nd EP from 2014, 'Skool Luv Affair', returns to #2 this week, selling another 403,000 units and 775,000 so far!! With all its releases, BTS sold nearly 2,9 million albums last week alone!
