Doja Cat lifts to #1 on the United World Chart with her global smash hit "Paint The Town Red" scoring 312,000 points, including 249,000 points from streaming, 38,000 points from sales and 25,000 points from airplay (up 12%)! It's Doja's first No. 1 on the Global track chart, after reaching #2 with "Say So" in 2020 and #3 with "Kiss Me More" ft. SZA in 2021!

"Paint the Town Red" is from Doja's 4th studio album, 'Scarlet' (2023) and was released on August 4, 2023, via Kemosabe and RCA Records as the lead single from the album. The song was written by Doja Cat and produced by Earl on the Beat, Rubin, Jean-Baptiste, and DJ Replay. The hip hop track interpolates Dionne Warwick's Iconic hit "Walk On By" (1964) In the lyrics, the rapper dismisses her critics and asserts her own identity! The song became the first solo female rap song in Spotify history to top the platform's Global and US Top 50 charts and the fastest solo female rap song to reach 100 million streams! "Paint the Town Red" is #1 on the Billboard Global 200 chart, and the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, the 1st Rap song to top the latter. The song is currently #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a 2nd non-consecutive week, Doja's 2nd leader, and first solo US number-one! It's also the first rap song to top the Hot 100 in over a year since Nicki Minaj's "Super Freaky Girl" (2022). The song also topped the Billboard Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs and Hot Rap Songs charts for three weeks as well as their streaming and digital sales component charts. Internationally "Paint the Town Red" topped the charts in 18 countries, including Australia, Canada, Czech Republic, Greece, Ireland, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, New Zealand, Slovakia, Switzerland, and the United Kingdom where it became the first solo song by a female rapper to top the UK Chart. The song has been certified Platinum in New Zealand, Gold in Canada & Greece and Silver in the UK!
