Japanese boy band Naniwa Danshi lands atop the United World Album chart with their new album '1st Love' and massive equivalent sales of 641,000!

Japanese boy band Naniwa Danshi, has landed at #1 on the United World Album chart with their 1st Studio album '1st Love' and massive equivalent sales of 641,000! Naniwa Danshi was formed by Johnny & Associates in October 6, 2018, and consists of 7 members from the Kansai region. The group's official debut single, "Ubu Love", was released on November 12, 2021 and went straight to N1 on the Oricon Singles chart in Japan! "The Answer" and "Sachiare" followed in 2022 and also both hit #1 on the Oricon Singles chart! The group's name "Naniwa" refers to the name of a ward in Osaka, Japan. In just 8 months the rookie band has sold over 1.14 million physical units in Japan.


'Girls', the 2nd EP by South Korean girl group aespa holds at #2 on the United World Chart, selling another 208,000 sales and a total of 647,000 after debuting last week at #2 with 439.000 equivalent album units in its 1st week! 'Girls' debuted at #1 on the Gaon Album chart in Korea, at #3 on the US Billboard 200, earning 56,000 album-equivalent units, including 53,000 pure album sales, making it the highest-selling album of that week in America! It's aespa's first US top-10 album. The album reached #3 on the Oricon chart in Japan, #6 in Finland and #7 in Sweden!


Korean girl band ITZY lands at #3 on the United World Chart with 'Checkmate', their 5th extended play, and 1st week sales of 168,000 after debuting atop the Gaon Album chart in Korea and landing at #8 on the Billboard 200!


Bad Bunny's 'Un Verano Sin Ti' holds at #4 on the United World Chart, selling another 128.000 equivalent units and 1. 826.000 so far, after landing at #2! 'Un Verano Sin Ti' holds at #1 on the US Billboard 200 for a 7th non consecutive week, earning another 98.000 US album-equivalent units, and a total of 1.672.000 so far. it's Bunny's 2nd #1 album and 2nd all-Spanish language album to top the Billboard 200. The album is the most-streamed album on Spotify in 2022 so far!
