Japanese Superstar Idol Group, SixTONES, Tops The United World Chart With Their Debut Album '1st', Selling 467.000 Units Globally In Its First Week!

Japanese superstar boy band SixTones claims the first new number one album of the year 2021! Their debut album '1st' debuts with 467.000 equivalent sales according to Oricon. The Album also landed atop the weekly Oricon Albums chart in Japan!
 
American country Star, Morgan Wallen, lands at #2 with his 2nd studio album 'Dangerous' after debuting atop the Billboard 200. The Double Album' sold 288.000 equivalent sales in its 1st week.
 
Last week's chart topper and the global no.1 of the last four weeks, Taylor Swift's 'evermore', dips 1-3 after selling another 111.000 sales and 1.096.000 official units so far excluding China where Taylor is the top-selling foreign Artist. As per Republic Records, 'evermore' sold over 1 Million Records in its 1st week globally including 509,000 units in China, marking Swift's 3rd album in 16 months to do so, and her 8th consecutive studio album to achieve it! 'evermore' debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 in America, with Swift becoming the first woman in American history with 8 consecutive number-one debuting albums! All 15 of 'evermore' tracks entered the Billboard Hot 100 the same week, with the lead single, "Willow", becoming her 7th No.1 single on the chart and 2nd No. 1 in 2020 following "Cardigan". With 'folklore' and 'evermore', Swift became the first act to simultaneously debut atop both the Billboard 200 and Hot 100 charts twice! 'evermore' ranks #8 on Rolling Stone's best-selling year end albums chart, and #10 on Nielsen SoundScan's best selling albums of 2020 with 283.000 copies sold! its sister album, 'folklore', was the best-selling album of 2020 in the US! 'evermore' also hit #1 in Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Portugal and the UK.
 
The hugely popular Korean Group,
NCT, reenters the United World Top 10 Albums chart at #4 with 'NCT - Resonance Part 1+2' after selling another 90.000 units and 1.912.000 so far! The album topped the Gaon Album chart in Korea for 2 weeks!
 
New entry at #5 for Japanese star Yoasobi and his new streaming record breaker, 'The Book' which sold 90.000 EAUs in its first week!
 
Real Pop Smoke's former chart topping album, 'Shoot for The Stars, Aim For The Moon' dips 5-6 in its 26th week on the chart, selling another 83.000 eqivalent units and 3.422.000 so far!
 
Ariana Grande's former chart topping album, 'Positions', drops 3-7 in its 10th week on the chart, selling another 67.000 units and 1.238.000 units so far! It's Ariana's 6th studio album, released on October 30, 2020, by Republic Records. 'Positions' also debuted at number one on the US Billboard 200 chart with 174,000 album-equivalent units, which includes 42,000 sales, marking Grande's 5th number-one album in the US. The album also hit #1 in Argentina, Canada, Ireland, Lithuania, New Zealand, Norway, and the UK. The title track of the same name debuted atop the Billboard Hot 100 and earned Grande her 5th number-one single in the US and 3rd Hot 100 chart-topper in 2020, the only act with five #1 debuts on the chart! All 14 of its tracks charted simultaneously on the Hot 100.
 
Barry Gibb's 'Greenfields: The Gibb Brothers' Songbook, Vol.1', debuts at #8 on the United World Chart selling 66.000 equivalent units globally in its 1st week. The Album debuted at #1 on the official UK chart and the ARIA chart in Australia, and has so far peaked at #4 in Germany, #8 in Switzerland and #15 in the Netherlands & the US! 'Greenfields' is Barry's 3rd solo album and features duets with country artists Dolly Parton, Little Big Town, Alison Krauss and others. The album contains 11 Bee Gees tracks and one unreleased Barry Gibb track, re-imagined as country songs. "Words of a Fool" features Jason Isbell and was originally written by Gibb in 1986 for an unreleased album.

's 'After Hours' reenters the United World Chart Top 10 at #9 after selling another 63.000 units and 3.285.000 equivalent units so far! The album was supported by 4 singles: "Heartless", "Blinding Lights", "In Your Eyes", and "Save Your Tears", with the first two topping the US Billboard Hot 100 and receiving platinum certification. 'Fine Line' falls 4-10 on the United World Chart this week, after selling another 61.000 equivalent units and 4.122.000 so far! It's Harry's 2nd studio album, and was released on 13 December 2019 by Columbia and Erskine Records. 'Fine Line' debuted #1 on the Billboard 200, breaking the record for the biggest debut from a British male artist since Nielsen SoundScan began, scoring 478,000 album-equivalent units of which 393,000 were pure sales. On February 25, 2020, the album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) for combined sales and album-equivalent units of over one million units in the US. As of December 2020, it had sold over 2,081,033 album-equivalent units. The Album also peaked at #1 in Argentina, Australia, Canada, Croatia, Ireland, Lithuania, Mexico, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Portugal & Sweden, peaking at #2 in Estonia, Greece, Iceland, Norway and the UK.
