Kis-My-Ft2 jumps atop of the world album charts this week!

According to the new IFPI global release day Media Traffic moved the date for the weekly update on Wednesday. Following consultation with artists, musicians unions, record companies and retailers, it was confirmed that the release day for new music will be aligned internationally on a Friday. From this week on the survey period of the official charts from many countries (like USA and United Kingdom) starts with Friday and ends with Thursday. We follow the example. The current hitlist is exceptionally an extended chart week, published on Wednesday 15 and dated to July 18, 2015. Here are the sales period for some key markets: USA, Canada and France 11 days, United Kingdom 12 days, Germany 14 days, Japan 7 days. New no.1 in this extended chart week is Japanese boy band Kis-My-Ft2 with their fourth studio album 'Kis-My-World'. According to Oricon it sold 300.000 copies in its initial week. Exactly one year ago, the band's former album 'Kis-My-Journey' started also atop globally with 246.000 sales. Robert Rahmeek Williams, better known by his stage name Meek Mill, bows at the vice-position with his second album 'Dreams Worth More Than Money'. It found 279.000 buyers in that extended chart week, 258.000 of it in the USA alone. Back at no.1 in United Kingdom and back in the top three globally is Ed Sheeran's mega-seller 'X'. The effort ranks a 54th week on the tally, jumps from no.10 to no.3 this week and sold another 99.000 copies, a total of massive 6,2 million so far. Another huge seller follows shy behind at no.4, Taylor Swift's '1989' climbs three slots and moved another 87.000 copies, 7,7 million totally. Some additional sales stats: 'My Everything' by Ariana Grande sold 9.000 copies last week and reaches a total of 1.590.000 so far, 'Listen' by David Guetta sold 16.000 units last week, 1.078.000 so far, 'Wanted On Voyage' by George Ezra sold 15.000 units last week and has a total of 1.565.000 copies so far, the 'Frozen' soundtrack sold 8.352.000 copies so far, the 'Empire' soundtrack 458.000, and the 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' soundtrack 2.162.000.
