KPop Superstar Group TWICE's 'MORE & MORE' Tops The Global Album Chart!

TWICE's “MORE & MORE” has gone to #1 on the Global Album Chart after selling 352.000 units in its first week, 324,000 of which was from the band's native country of Korea alone according to Hanteo, and another 20,000 from Japan, according to Oricon. Released by JYP Entertainment and Republic Records on June 1, 2020, 'MORE & MORE' debuted at #2 atop the Worlwide iTunes Album chart after going to #1 on iTunes in 30 countries! In Korea the Album sold over 260,000 copies on Hanteo in in its first 24 hours, and TWICE broke the record for the highest first-day sales for a KPop girl group ever! They also became the first Korean girl group to surpass 200,000 albums sold on the first day of release! It is not only Twice's best-selling album to date, but also the best-selling girl group album in South Korea since S.E.S's album 'A Letter from Greenland' in 2000. The EP also debuted atop the Oricon Albums Chart and at #3 on Billboard Japan's Hot Albums chart. It also debuted at number 25 on the UK Album Downloads Chart, making it their highest entry and 2nd overall. The EP also entered at number 200 on the Billboard 200, making Twice the 4th South Korean girl group to break into the chart, after Girls’ Generation, 2NE1 and BLACKPINK! 

 

Lady Gaga’s 'Chromatica' holds at #2 after selling another 156.000 equivalent units and a total of 643.000 so far!

 

Former #1, The Weeknd’s After Hours', sells another 74.000 units and 1,77 million so far! 'After Hours' is now no.3 on the year-to.date list, behind Billie Eilish's 'When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?' which has sold a total of 1,85 million units so far in 2020 and the Bangtan Boys' 'Map Of The Soul: 7' which has sold 5,72 million units so far!

 

Lil Baby’s 'My Turn' rebounds 9 - 4 in its 11th week after selling another 67.000 units and 1.166 million so far. The Album debuted at #2 on the global Album Chart on March 14.

 

NCT Dream's 'Reload EP' reenters the Global Top 10 at #5 this week after selling another 64.000 units and after debuting at #1 on the May 16th Global Chart! The album has so far sold 583.000 equivalent units since its release! 

 

New entry at #6 for Viction's 'Mayday' selling 62.000 units in its first week, while Drake's 'Dark Lane Demo Tapes lifts 10-7 after selling another 61.000 units and 742.000 so far! The Album debuted at #2 on the Global Album Chart on May 16.

 

Former chart topper, Dua Lipa, reenters the Global Top 10 at #8 after selling another 58,000 units and 2.235.000 so far while former chart topper Harty Styles reenters the top 10 at #9 selling another 58.000 units and 2.235 million so far while Post Malone's 'Hollywood's Bleeding' closes this week's Top 10 selling another 57.000 units this week and a total of 4.470 million so far!
