Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" Kicks Off 2021 On Top Of The United World Chart For A 5th Non Consecutive week!

Mariah Carey's "All I Want For Christmas Is You" kicks off 2021 on top of the United World Chart with 427.000 points. Its the 5th week atop the world chart and the 2nd week this year. The song first went to #1 on the United World Chart in December 1994, the year it was released. "All I Want For Christmas Is You" is also #1 on the new Billboard Global 200 chart for a 3rd week, up 55% with 130 million streams and 27,000 sold worldwide in the week ending Dec. 24. The Song scored the 2nd biggest streaming week since the chart began behind BTS' "Life Goes On" which hit 152.5 million streams the week of December 5. "All I Want For Christmas" is also #1 this week on the Billboard Global Excl. U.S. chart, Up 2-1 from last week with 58.5 million streams and 11,000 sold outside of the U.S. in the week ending Dec. 24.! Mariah made history 2 weeks ago, returning to the top of the US Hot 100 for a 4th week, and scoring the longest run at the top for a xmas song, while topping the Official UK chart for the first time in 26 years! The Song is back #1 this week on the US hot 100 for a 5th week and holds at #2 on the Official UK Chart for a 2nd week. 'Last Christmas' by Wham! lifts 5-2 this week on the United World Chart with 316,000 points (up 42%). It's the highest position since its release in 1984, when it debuted behind Band Aid's charity single 'Do They Know It's Christmas’!

 

Former #1, BTS' “Dynamite”, rebounds 4-3 with 229,000 points after topping the United World Chart for 8 incredible weeks and making history as the 1st Asian Act to do so! It's BTS's first english language bop and the 1st song in 2020 to sell over 1 million downloads, scoring the biggest global sales debut of 2020 and the biggest debut of 2020 on Global Spotify!

 

The highest debut this week comes from the Japanese idol group, King and Prince, whose new smash hit, 'I Promise', lands at no.4 globally with 226,000 points, after debuting last week atop the Oricon chart in Japan selling 567,000 singles.

It's the first song ever to simultaneously debut at #1 on the Hot Latin Songs chart and in the Top 10 of the US Hot 100! 

 

Ariana Grande's Xmas hit, "Santa Tell Me”, shoots 12-7 this week with 213,000 points while Bobby Helms' "Jingle Bell Rock" lifts 11-8 on the United World Chart scoring 206,000points.

 

Former chart topper, "Mood", by 24kGoldn feat. iann dior, slips 4-9 in its 18th week on the chart with 205,000 points after topping the chart the week of November 21!

 

Michael Bublé's "It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas" rebounds 20-10 on the United World Chart with 198,000 points this week.
