Olivia Rodrigo's 2nd studio album 'GUTS' lifts to #1 on the United World Chart in its 2nd week, selling another 211,000 equivalent album units, after debuting at #3 with 492,000 equivalent album units!

'GUTS' was written by Rodrigo and DanNigro, the producer of her top-selling debut album 'SOUR' (2021). Rodrigo conceived 'GUTS' hoping to reflect the process of maturity she experienced toward the end of her teenage years! 'Guts' topped the weekly album charts in 13 countries, including the US, Australia, Belgium, Canada, Germany, Ireland, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden and the UK. In the US, it scored 302,000 equivalent album units in its 1st week including 150,000 in pure album sales becoming Rodrigo's 2nd album to top the chart. All 12 tracks charted in the Hot 100 top 40 with its title track"Vampire" debuting at #1 and returning for a 2nd week atop the chart!



American rapper and singer Rod Wave, scores this week's highest new entry on the Unied World Chart, landing at #2 with his 5th studio album, "Nostalgia' and sales of 143,000! In the United States, 'Nostalgia' debuted atop the Billboard 200, earning 137,000 album-equivalent units including 1,500 in pure sales) in its first week. It became Wave's 3rd No. 1 on the chart, and 6th top-ten. The album also accumulated a total of 187.51 million on-demand streams of its songs. The Album debuted at #18 in New Zealand, at #29 in Canada and at #46 in the UK!


Layover by BTS' V scores a 2nd week in the United World Top 3, at #3 this week, selling another 99,000 equivalent album units after debuting at #1 last week! The album debuted at #1 on the Circle chart in South Korea, becoming the best-selling Solo album in South Korean history, selling over 2 Million units in its 1st week! 'Layover' debuted in the Top 10 in Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Japan, Lithuania, New Zealand, Poland, Sweden, Switzerland and the US! According to Hanteo, the biggest music sales tracker in South Korea, 'Layover' sold over 1.67 million copies on its opening day, setting a new record for the highest first-day sales by any solo K-pop artist in history! The album's sales reached 2,101,974 units, marking the first time that any solo artist's album surpassed the 2-million-sales milestone in its opening week! 'Layover' earned the highest debut-week sales by a solo K-pop album, breaking the record previously set by V's bandmate Jimin with 'Face' (1.45 million copies), and the 10th highest first week among all Korean albums. It is the best-selling solo album in South Korean history! In Japan, 'Layover' debuted at #2 on the Oricon Albums Chart, for the same tracking period, topping the component Digital Albums Charts! 'Layover' debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 in the United States, with 100,000 equivalent album units earned in its first week (ending September 14, 2023), including 88,000 pure sales, 9,000 streaming equivalent album units (12.95 million on-demand official streams) and 3,000 track equivalent albums. Zach Bryan's self-titled album holds at #4, selling another 91,000 and 558,000 so far! It's Bryan's 4th studio album. Bryan debuted at No. 1 on the US Billboard 200 with 200,000 album-equivalent units, the largest week for a rock/country album in four years and Bryan's first No. 1 album. It also earned the largest streaming week for a rock album in Billboard chart history! The album also debuted at number one in Canada,and New Zealand, and at #2 in Australia and Ireland.

Morgan Wallen's 3rd studio album and former #1, 'One Thing At A Time', rebounds 6-5, selling another 86,000 and 4.490,000 so far. 'One Thing at a Time' debuted at #1 on the US Billboard 200 with 501,000 album-equivalent units, including 111,500 pure album sales. It's Wallen's 2nd consecutive US #1 album and marks the biggest week of 2023 for album units earned, and overall biggest week for a country album since 'Red (Taylor's Version)' in November 2021. Its 36 tracks earned a total of 498.28 million on-demand streams. The album spent 15 weeks at #1 on the chart, surpassing Bad Bunny's 'Un Verano Sin Ti' as the album with the most number one weeks this decade! In the week of the album's release, all 36 tracks entered the Billboard Hot 100, breaking the record set by Drake in 2018 for most songs by an artist on the chart simultaneously, as well as the record for most debuts on the chart, with 27. Wallen also occupied five of the top 10 songs and achieved his first #1 song with "Last Night”.


Travis Scott's former chart-topping star-studded album 'Utopia' dips 5-6, selling another 80,000 units and 1,733,000 so far! The album features guest appearances from BadBunny, Beyoncé, Dave Chappelle, Drake, Future, James Blake, Kid Cudi, PlayboiCarti, 21Savage, Swae Lee, SZA, The Weeknd & YoungThug. In the United States, 'Utopia' debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 chart, earning 496,000 album-equivalent units (including 252,000 in pure album sales) in its first week. This became Scott's fourth album to top the chart. The album also accumulated a total of 330.68 million on-demand streams of the album's songs. All 19 songs from the album debuted in the Billboard Hot 100, making Scott the 15th artist in the chart's history to log over 100 career entries. The album moved a total of 1,085,000 album-equivalent units in its first five weeks in the US! Internationally, the Album is a huge success, having toppede the weekly charts in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, Denmark, Finland, France, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Slovak, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK, becoming Scott's first chart-topping album in Gt. Britain. It also earned the biggest streaming week in 2023 for an album in the country. Stray Kids' 1st Japanese-language EP, 'Social Path Super Bowl' ft. Japanese star LiSA, scores a 2nd week on the United World chart at #7 after debuting at #2, selling another 73,000 equivalent album units and 581,000 so far! The EP debuted at #1 on the Oricon Albums Chart and the Combined Albums Chart, their 2nd #1 album in Japan after their first Japanese-language studio album TheSound (2023).

Satomi's 'Never End' scores the 2nd highest new entry, landing at #8 on the United World Chart with 72,000 equivalent album units. Satomi is a Japanese singer and live streamer. He is a member of the J-pop group Strawberry Prince.


SZA's 2nd studio album 'SOS' rebounds 10-9, selling another 69,000 units and 4,139,000 so far! The album features guest appearances from Don Toliver, Phoebe Bridgers & Travis Scott. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, SZA's 1st album to do so, and broke the record for the largest streaming week for an R&B album in the US and the 2nd-largest streaming week for an album by a female artist.. The album spent ten non-consecutive weeks atop the chart, making it the longest-running #1 female album of the decade and the first R&B album to spend its 1st seven weeks atop the chart since Whitney Houston's Whitney (1987). The album was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) in just a few days. Taylor Swift's former chart-topping album 'Midnights' dips 8-10, selling another 68,000 units (Excl. China) in its 48th week on the chart and 9,77 Million so far! 'Midnights' marks Swift's 1st album since her 2020 indie folk albums, 'Folklore' and 'Evermore'. 'Midnights' was also written and produced by Swift with longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff. Inspired by her "sleepless nights", 'Midnights' explores topics of anxiety, insecurity, self-criticism, self-awareness, insomnia, and self-confidence, with lyricism characterized as confessional yet cryptic. The album was Swift's most commercially successful album to-date, breaking a string of records globally. It broke the Spotify record for most single-day streams of an album (186 Million). All of the album's tracks entered the Billboard Global 200 and eight of those charted within the top 10 of the Global 200 and Global Excl.
