Omi has world's no.1 single after 24 weeks on the chart!

Omar Samuel Pasley, better known by his stage name OMI, is a Jamaican-born singer. OMI was born in the parish of Clarendon, Jamaica, and is currently signed to Ultra music, a part of Sony Music.


"Cheerleader", a reggae fusion song, was written and produced by OMI and C. Dillon, and originally released in 2012 through Oufah Records. The Song was remixed by Felix Jaehn and rereleased through Ultra Music on 19 May 2014. The remix peaked at number three on the Billboard Hot 100, and topped the charts in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, the Netherlands, Poland, Slovakia, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Kingdom. "Cheerleader" stayed for weeks atop the Dutch, German and French charts and made history when it topped the UK Singles Chart for four weeks in a row, marking the longest consecutive period any Jamaican artist has held that position on the official UK chart.
