Pink Floyd's new album shoots to the top world's no.1 album charts this week!

Will be '1989' the top selling album of the holiday season 2014? In its second week on the the tally Taylor Swift's new album moved another massive 573.000 copies, unbelievable 2.254.000 in only two weeks! The set climbs already at no.4 on the year-to-date chart after such a short time. Only the 'Frozen' soundtrack (6.311.000), Coldplay's 'Ghost Stories' (2.826.000), and Ed Sheeran's 'X' (2.314.000) sold more over the year. At the end of 2014 Taylor Swift's '1989' will be rank surely at no.2, behind 'Frozen'. Next week starts another big thing of this year's holiday season, Pink Floyd's new album 'The Endless River'. Especially in Europe huge sales are expected. On the current list the album bows prematurely at no.27 with 30.000 sales, especially due Italy. This week's highest debut comes from seven-member Japanese boygroup Kanjani 8. Their seventh studio effort lands at no.2 with 294.000 units, according to Oricon. Shy behind at no.3 arrives Scottish singer, songwriter, record producer and DJ Calvin Harris with his fourth album 'Motion' and 111.000 sales. Also new in the Top 10 are the legendary 62 year-old Italian singer / songwriter Vaso Rossi with his 27th album 'Sono Innocente' at no.6 with 61.000 sales and Japanese rock band Glay with his 14th album 'Music Life' at no.7 with 57.000 sales. The 'Frozen' soundtrack returns to the Top 10 at no.8 in its 50th week on the tally with 55.000 sales. At the end of 2014 the soundtrack could be at total sales of 7 million! Some additional sales stats: 'Farbenspiel' by Helene Fischer sold 15.000 copies last week and reaches a total of 1.532.000 so far, the soundtrack of 'Guardians Of The Galaxy' sold 19.000 units last week, 940.000 so far, 'Ghost Stories' by Coldplay sold also 19.000 units last week and as already mentioned above has a total of 2.826.000 units so far, 'Cheek To Cheek' by Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga sold 550.000 copies so far, 'If You Wait' by London Grammar 1.006.000, and 'True' by Avicii 1.906.000.
