Prince's signature song 'Purple Rain' rises from #20 to #1 this week on the Global track chart, replacing Lukas Graham's '7 Years' which reigned atop for 5 straight weeks. Originally released in November 1984, 'Purple Rain' peaked at #3 globally. Now it is the fifth #1 hit for the legendary R&B superstar, after 'When Doves Cry' (1984), 'Kiss' (1986), 'Batdance' (1989), and 'The Most Beautiful Girl In The World' (1994). Two of the Hit Singles are also back in the Top 10 of the global hitlist. 'When Doves Cry' soars from #31 to #6, and 'Kiss' rises from #38 to #9.

The highest debut of the week is Beyoncé's 'Formation', a tune from her new album 'Lemonade'. The song debuts at #8 globally. Another four songs from that album follow at #21 is 'Hold Up', at #23 is 'Sorry', at #27 is '6 Inch' and at #40 is 'Don't Hurry Yourself'.

At #2 for a second week is Drake's 'One Dance' ft. Wizkid & Kyla. The song will most probably be the new ‪#‎1on‬ next week's chart... and it's quite certainly that Drake will be also the new #1 on next week's Global Album Chart. Drake's new Album 'Views' will sell over a million copies in its first week!

Lukas Graham's '7 Years' slips from #1 to #3.
