A Tribe Called Quest's 'We Got It From Here...Thank You 4 Your Service' is the World's No.1 Album this week!

Posted on November 29, 2016

American hip-hop group, A Tribe Called Quest, was formed in 1985. Now,
more than 30 years later, their 6th studio album 'We Got It From
Here...Thank You 4 Your Service' debuts this week at No. 1 on the Global
Album chart with sales of 136,000, 111,900 of it in America!

After Leonard Cohen's death two weeks ago at the age of 82, many of his
songs and albums have returned to the top of the charts internationally.
His latest album 'You Want It Darker' debuted three weeks ago at no.3
with sales of 115,000 and is No. 2 this week with sales of 135,000 and a
total of 355,000 after four weeks at retail.

Close behind at No. 3 with sales of 134,000 is Country Legend Garth
Brooks and his latest 10-disc compilation, exclusively available through
Target at $29,99. It's ineligible to chart on the US-Billboard Album
List, as its price falls below the minimum required price to chart.

The holiday season started and many X-mas albums are back on the charts.
At the moment 'A Pentatonix Christmas' leads all these releases with
63,000 additional sales last week, enough to go to no.9 globally.
Michael Bublé's classic 'Christmas' from 2011 climbs to no.18 this week
with sales of 36,000.
