'Wilder Mind', the third album by the British folk / rock band Mumford & Sons, rockets to the top of the World's best-selling Albums Chart after selling 441.000 copies globally. Over half were sold in the USA (231.400), another 77.900 in the United Kingdom and 40.000 in Canada. Mumford & Sons' former album 'Babel' also debuted at no.1 globally, but with more than twice as many sales as the current album (951.000 units in the week 41, 2012). 'Babel' and 'Sigh No More', Mumford & Sons' debut LP, both rank in the Top 20 of the bestselling albums of this decade, each with more than 5 million copies sold. 'Wilder Mind' leads eight new entries on this week's chart, with the second highest coming from the legendary Spanish singer/songwriter Alejandro Sanz. The eighteen times Grammy winner shoots to no.3 globally with his 11th studio album 'Sirope'. The LP moved 77.000 copies in its first week at retail, 62.000 of it in Spain alone, according to Promusicae. These are the biggest weekly sales by an album there since 2006. The third highest and last debut inside the Top 10 this week is 'Special Effects' by American rapper Tech N9ne. It's his 15th studio album and opens at no.7 with sales of 58.400 in the USA and additional 3.600 from Canada.
