Only 1000 points seperates Pharrell Williams from a new alltime record: 'Happy' would be almost a 20th week at no.1, more than each other song in history. But now after 19 weeks it's shift change: the 24 year-old Australian rapper Iggy Azalea takes the cepter and rules the global hitlist for the first time with 'Fancy'. But it was a very tight race, between no.1 and no.5 there's a gap of only 12.000 points! 'Fancy' tops with 248.000 points. Very close behind Pharrell Williams' 'Happy' with 247.000 points, John Legend's 'All Of Me' with 243.000 points, Sam Smith's 'Stay With Me' with 240.000 points and Ariana Grande's 'Problem' with 236.000 points. And by the way, 'Fancy' reigns this week tally with the lowest points frame since the week 7, 2012. In that week Rihanna feat. Calvin Harris' 'We Found Love' topped a 14th and last week with only 243.000 points. British singer / songwriter Ella Henderson brings this week's highest debut on the global hitlist. Her 'Ghost' storms to no.1 in United Kingdom and at no.15 globally with 122.000 points. 'Ghost', written by OneRepublic mastermind Ryan Tedder, is the debut single for Henderson, who was sixth in the British casting show X Factor in 2012. New at no.16 with only some hundred points less, J-pop boygroup News starts with their new smash 'One'. The World Cup is now perceptible on the charts. The official 2014 FIFA World Cup song, 'We Are One (Ole Ola)' by Pitbull feat. Jennifer Lopez & Claudia Leitte moves up to no.24 with 91.000 points. Another World Cup smash, 'Dare (La La La)' by Shakira climbs shy behind the Top 40 at no.43. Four years ago, at the last World Cup in South Africa, Shakira performed the official FIFA song: 'Waka Waka (This Time For Africa)' was a big success and reached no.6 on the global tally, driven among other, by the fantastic video clip. Outside the top 40 waiting also Enrique Iglesias' 'Bailando' at no.49, Nicki Minaj's 'Pills N Potions' at no.53, MKTO's 'Classic' at no.55 and Lilly Wood & The Prick's 'Prayer In C (Robin Schulz Remix)' at no.56 for their first appearance on the big list.
