Noone can remove "Despacito" from atop the Global Track chart! Only
seven songs have lasted atop the chart for at least 17 weeks in almost
60 years of the Global track chart history: Bryan Adams '(Everything I
Do) I Do It For You' (1991) and Pharrell Williams 'Happy' (2014), each
scored 19 weeks at No. 1: The Beatles 'Hey Jude' (1968) was No. 1 for 18
weeks, and Whitney Houstons 'I Will Always Love You' (1992), Los Del
Rio's 'Macarena' (1996), Black Eyed Peas 'I Gotta Feeling' (2009), and
ELVIS PRESLEY's 'Now Or Never' (1960), each scored 17 weeks at the top.

Next week Taylor Swift 's new smash 'Look What You Made Me Do' will be
making a deep impact on the hitlist with massive initial sales of over
500,000 and streaming.

The Highest debut on this week's tally is 'Friends', a new smash from
Justin Bieber and a cooperation with American record producer and
songwriter BloodPop The song debuts at no.4 on this week's chart!

Wanna One has sold another 112,000 units of their chart topping Album
'To Be One' and a grand total of 531,000 so far after just two weeks!
The South Korean Band top the Global Album chart for a 2nd consecutive
week!

In 2nd place is Ed Sheeran's 'Divide' after selling another 93,000
equivalent sales. It's the first time in its 25 weeks on the chart that
Ed's LP sold less than 100,000!

Kendrick Lamar's 'Damn' rises from no.6 to no.3, selling another 63,000.

Imagine Dragons' 'Evolve' moves up 3 spots to no.4, also with 63,000
sales, a little 1,5% decrease since the last week.

Closing the top 5 is this week's highest debut, 'Science Fiction', the
fifth studio album by the American rock band Brand New. It debuts with
63,000 sales, 58,000 of it from the United States alone. It's the first
studio album of the band since nearly eight years since 'Daisy' in 2009!

Ke$ha's new Album 'Rainbow' slips from No. 2 to 6 after selling 54,000.

New entry for Steven Wilson's 'To The Bone' at No. 7 after selling
53,000 copies globally!

Kodak Black's 'Project Baby 2' enters the chart at No. 8 selling 51,000
copies!

DJ khaled 'Grateful' slips from 8 to 9 after selling another 45,000
copies and Neck Deep's 'The Peace And The Panic' debuts at No. 10
selling 45,000 copies!


South Korean boy band, Wanna One, are taking the world by storm with
their debut Album 'To Be One', at No.1 on the United World chart with
massive sales of 419,000 in its initial week (according to Hanteo and
Oricon). The K-Pop boy band is composed of 11 members: Kang Daniel, Park
Ji-hoon, Lee Dae-hwi, Kim Jae-hwan, Ong Seong-wu, Park Woo-jin, Lai
Kuan-lin, Yoon Ji-sung, Hwang Min-hyun, Bae Jin-young and Ha Sung-woon.

Kesha's 'Rainbow', the 3rd album by American singer Ke$ha, debuts at No.
2 with 155,000 equivalent sales, 116,000 of it from the US and 10,000
from Canada according to Nielsen Soundscan and 7,900 from the UK
(according to the Official Charts. Ke$ha's former album 'Warrior'
debuted at no.16 in December 2012 with 113,000 sales!

Japan's V6 opens at No. 3 with 'The Ones' and 129,000 equivalent sales,
most of it in Japan.

Ed Sheeran's 'Divide', slips two places to No. 4 with equivalent sales
of 101.000 and a total of 6.905.000.

'Holiday Night', the 9th album by Korean idol group 소녀시대(Girls'
Generation), enters at No. 5 this week with equivalent sales of 95.000!

Kendrick Lamar's 'Damn', the World's 2nd best-selling Album of the Year
after Ed Sheeran's 'Divide', sells another 68.000 copies for a total of
2.758.000.

Imagine Dragons 'Evolve' slips 3 to No. 7, with 64.000 equivalent sales
for a total of 803.000 after 8 weeks on the chart.

DJ Khaled's 'Grateful' moves up 2 from 10 to 8 after selling another
54.000 copies this week and a total of 655.000!

EXO's latest smash 'The War' slips from 7 No. 9 with 53,000 sales. In
its four weeks on the chart it has sold over a million copies according
to Gaon, and is now the 23rd best-selling Album of 2017 according to the
World chart.





"Despacito" holds at No. 1 atop the Global Track Chart and could set a
new all-time record if it resists another 4 weeks! Only Bryan Adams
"Everything I Do I Do It For You" and Pharrell Williams' 'Happy' have
resisted longer at No. 1, each with a 19 week run! "Despacito" has been
15 weeks atop the US Hot 100 and if on Monday it holds at No. 1, it will
automatically tie with Mariah Carey & Boyz II Men's 'One Sweet Day' for
the longest run of all time atop the Hot 100. " One Sweet Day" topped
the chart for 16 weeks in 1995/1996!


"Despacito" has also been 17 weeks atop the Official German chart, and
ties for the longest run at No. 1 with Boney M.'s 'Rivers Of Babylon'
(1978) which also held the top spot for 17 weeks in Germany.

This week 渡辺美優紀(NMB48)'s new album, 'Namba Ai (Ima, Omou, Koto)' debuts
at No. 1 on the Oricon chart in Japan and is also the No. 1 best-selling
Album globally, with 159,000 sales, according to Oricon. NMB48 is a
Japanese idol girl group that debuted in 2011 as the second sister group
to AKB48, produced by Yasushi Akimoto. The name "NMB" comes from "Namba"
in the Minami district in Osaka.



At No. 2 this week on the World Chart is Ed Sheeran's 'Divide' with 104k
sales more and a total of 6.804.000 copies since its release in March,
making it the best-selling Album of 2017 so far!



The second new hot debut Album on this week's Global Top 10 best-selling
Albums chart, compiled by Fred Chuchel, is 'Tycoon, the 9th studio album
by the Japanese fusion band UVERworld which enters the chart at no.3
with 90,000 sales (according to Oricon).



Imagine Dragons's 'Evolve' moves up 2 spots to No. 4 this week with
sales of 70,000 and a total of 739,000 copies since its release 7 weeks
ago!



'Verse 2', the first EP by the South Korean duo JJProject (Official),
part of the boy group GOT7, debuts at no.5 with 70,000 sales (according
to Hanteo and Oricon).



Kendrick Lamar's 'Damn' moves up one with with 68,000 sales and
2,690,000 and is the second best-selling Album of 2017.



Former chart topper, EXO's 'The War (Korean & Mandarin Version', slips
from 3 to 7 this week with sales of 67.000 for a total of 774,000.



Lana Del Rey's 'Lust For Life' sells another 60,000 and a total of
329,000 so far.



Former No. 1, Arcade Fire's 'Everything Now', sells 53.000 this week
globally and a total of 294,000.



DJ Khaled closes the Global Top 10 with Grateful' and sales of 51,000,
with a total of 601,000 so far!
