"Closer" scores a 9th week atop the global track chart. It has the
second longest run in 2016 for a Single at No. 1 on the Global chart
after Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop The Feeling" which remained for 10
whole weeks!

"Closer" is currently No. 1 for an 11th week in the US, overtaking
Drake’s 10-week rule in America with “One Dance” to become the
longest-reigning No. 1 in 2016. While an 11-week run at No. 1 in America
is rare, 20 other singles have hit the mark. Mariah Carey and Boyz II
Men’s “One Sweet Day,” released in 1996, is still the longest run (16
weeks) on the Billboard Hot 100's 58 year history!
