Adele's new Album '30' lands at #1 on the United World Chart, with the highest weekly sales of an Album this year, selling 1,586.000 equivalent sales units globally in its 1st week, 839,000 of which were sold in the US according to MRC/Billboard. '30' became the top-selling album of 2021 in the US, selling 500,000 pure copies in its 1st 3 days and 692,000 pure album sales in its 1st week, twice the year's previous biggest sales week set by 'Red (Taylor's Version)'. '30" surpassed the sales of any album in the previous 11 months combined, and tallied the highest sales week for any album since 'Reputation' in 2017.
In the UK, '30' scored the biggest opening week of 2021 and the highest opening week for an album by a female artist since Adele's own '25', landing at #1 on the Official Albums Chart with 261,000 copies sold, the largest opening week for an album since Ed Sheeran's ''Divide' in 2017. Adele scored a chart double on the Official Singles Chart, with "Easy on Me" at #1, and "Oh My God" landing at #2, while "I Drink Wine" debuted at #4. '30" was just certified Platinum in the UK for over 300,000 sales units! '30' also debuted at #1 in Germany, scoring a chart double with "Easy on Me" at #1 on the German singles chart! Adele is the 1st Female Artist to top the official German single and album charts simultaneously three times! In Ireland, '30' debuted atop the IRMA chart, outselling the rest of the Top 10 combined. '30' also topped the charts in Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Lithuania, the Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, and Switzerland. In Australia & New Zealand, it scored the highest first week sales for any album since 'Divide' in 2017. In Asia, '30' debuted at #5 on the Oricon Albums chart in Japan!
On 29 October 2021, three weeks before its release, '30' broke the Apple Music record for the most pre-added album ever on the streaming platform, surpassing Billie Eilish's 'Happier Than Ever' (2021)! '30' also broke the record for the largest number of pre-adds in a single day, as well as the record for achieving it in the shortest timeframe!
'30' is Adele's fourth studio album, and was released on November 19, 2021 via Melted Stone and Columbia Records. It addresses Adele's divorce, motherhood, and the scrutiny of fame, with themes of heartache, acceptance, and hope. Adele cowrote '30' with producers Greg Kurstin, Tobias Jesso Jr., Max Martin and Shellback, who all worked on her previous record, 25 (2015), and also Ludwig Göransson, and American jazz pianist Erroll Garner who is posthumously credited as a featured artist on "All Night Parking", the first star guest on an album by Adele. "Easy on Me", '30's title track, was released on October 15, 2021 which was a huge success, going to #1 in 26 countries including the US & UK. '30' received critical acclaim for its cinematic instrumentation, vocal performances and honest themes, and topped the charts in 19 territories, including Australia, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and the US! Adele's former album, '25', exploded on the United World Chart with 5,706,000 sales exactly six years ago, setting a historical record! Adele's former three albums have sold almost 63 million sales units so far with '19' selling 8,45 Million units, '21' selling 30,99 Million and '25' selling 23,36 Million! Olivia Rodrigo's 'Sour' leads the Countdown chart so far with a total of 3,67 Million equivalent units sold in 2021.


Japanese Pop/Rock Icons, Kanjani8, lands at #2 on the United World Chart with their 10th studio album '8Beat' which sold 261,000 equivalent sales units in the 1st week, while last week's chart-topper, Taylor Swift's 'Red', sells another 222,000 equivalent units globally and a Million so far (excl. China).


Korean Superstar Band, MONSTA X (몬스타엑스), lands at #4 with its brand new Album 'No Limit' which sold 209,000 units in its 1st week!


Former #1, Abba's 'Voyage', slips 3-5 selling another 155,000 equivalent sales and 1,123 Million so far, while Ed Sheeran's new album 'Equals' rebounds 7-6 after landing at 3, selling another 149,000 units and a Million so far!


French Superstar OrelSan debuts at #7 with his new Album "Civilisation' which sold 147,000 equivalent units in its 1st week, while Korean Superstar Group TWICE drops 2-8 with their album 'Formula Of Love: O+T=<3', selling another 137,000 units and 473,000 so far in their 2nd week in the top 10 of the United World Chart.


New entry at #9 for Jeong Dong Won's 'The Giving Tree' which sold 97,000 units in its 1st week, while Silk Sonic's 'An Evening With Silk Sonic' drops 4-10 in its 2nd week, selling another 90,000 equivalent units and 257,000 so far!

Adele's "Easy On Me" scores a 7th consecutive week at #1 on the United World Chart, earning another 367,000 points and 2,763,000 in total so far! 110,000 points were from airplay with 216,000 points coming from streaming and 41,000 from sales.
Released on October 15, via Columbia Records as the lead single from her record-breaking 4th studio album '30', "Easy on Me" is the Superstar's first track in nearly 5 years! The song was written by Adele and American record producer Greg Kurstin, who also produced the song, and explores themes of nostalgia, regret, and forgiveness. Adele asks her son, Angelo, to be kind to her as she struggles after her broken marriage. Music critics praised the poignant lyrics and emotional vocals. Taylor Swift's 'Red (Taylor's Version)', the 2nd re-recorded album by the Superstar, following 'Fearless (Taylor's Version)', lands at #1 on the United World Chart with massive sales of 765,000, not counting China, 605,000 of which are from the United States alone (according to Nielsen Music / Billboard) and another 72,000 from the United Kingdom (according to OCC)! 'Fearless' (Taylor's Version)' debuted with 406,000 sales (not counting China), in week 16, 2021, and has generated a total of 1,290,000 so far.


TWICE's 6th studio album 'Formula Of Love: O+T=<3' debuts at #2 on the United World Chart with 336,000 sales in its 1st week, 254,000 of which came from South Korea, according to Hanteo, and another 66,000 from the the United States, according to Nielsen Music / Billboard where the Album landed at #3 on the Billboard 200. ABBA makes a huge comeback, debuting at #1 on the United World Chart with their 9th studio album 'VOYAGE' and massive sales of 759,000! Over 200,000 units come from the United Kingdom alone. Abba's top-selling album, the best-of compilation 'Gold', which was released 1992, sold another 28,000 equivalent sales last week, 713,000 this year, and nearly 30 million so far!


The 2nd highest debut of the week comes from South Korean boy band The Boyz. Their 3rd single album 'Maverick' lands at #2 with 495,000 sales.


Korean Superstar Group SEVENTEEN's 9th extended play 'ATTACCA' which has been #1 for the past 2 weeks, scoring the biggest single sales week this year, slips 1-3 after selling another 225,000 sales and a total of 2,26 million in just three weeks!
