Over half were sold in the USA (231.400), another 77.900 in the United Kingdom and 40.000 in Canada. Mumford & Sons' former album 'Babel' also debuted at no.1 globally, but with more than twice as many sales as the current album (951.000 units in the week 41, 2012). 'Babel' and 'Sigh No More', Mumford & Sons' debut LP, both rank in the Top 20 of the bestselling albums of this decade, each with more than 5 million copies sold. 'Wilder Mind' leads eight new entries on this week's chart, with the second highest coming from the legendary Spanish singer/songwriter Alejandro Sanz. The eighteen times Grammy winner shoots to no.3 globally with his 11th studio album 'Sirope'. The LP moved 77.000 copies in its first week at retail, 62.000 of it in Spain alone, according to Promusicae. These are the biggest weekly sales by an album there since 2006. The third highest and last debut inside the Top 10 this week is 'Special Effects' by American rapper Tech N9ne. It's his 15th studio album and opens at no.7 with sales of 58.400 in the USA and additional 3.600 from Canada.

"Uptown Funk" remains at no.2 for a fourth week with Maroon 5's Sugar at no.3. Omi's "Cheerleader" reaches a new peak at no.4 and "Love Me Like You Do" by Ellie Goulding rounds out the top five.
The Zac Brown Band is no.1 this week with their fourth studio Album 'Jekyll+Hyde' and sales of 233.000, 214.000 of which was sold in the USA, and another 15.000 in Canada. It is the second no.1 for Zac Brown on the World chart, the former release 'Uncaged' went to no.1 with sales of 242.000 sales in 2012. 'Jekyll+Hyde' is one of ten new Albums on this week's chart. The second highest entry is the eighth studio Album from the legendary Brit-pop band Blur, their first album in 12 years! 'The Magic Whip' jumps atop the British hitlist with 42.700 sales, and reaches no.3 globally with sales of 124.000. At no.2 is Josh Groban's new album 'Stages' with sales of 217.000, up 845% from the previous week, when the album was available only in a few countries.
Francis Cabrel, one of the most successful French musicians of all time, debuts at no.4 this week with his 13th studio album since 1977. 'In Extremis' sold 123.000 units the first week with 109.000 copies sold in France. Cabrel's biggest success was his eighth album 'Samedi Soir Sur La Terre' in 1994, which sold 4 million units in France. It's the second most successful album in history there, second only to Celine Dion's 'Deux' from 1995 with 4,4 million sales. 62 year-old Japanese musician Shogo Hamada is this weeks no.5 but is no.1 in Japan with 'The Journey Of A Songwriter' and sales of 80.324 according to Oricon.
BIG BANG enters the top 20 at no.17 with 'Made' (Series: M) and sales of 31,000.
'Chrome',German hip-hop band Dat Adam's debut Album, sold 28.000 units in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and opens at no.18 on the world chart.

'Sound & Color', the second album by the rock band Alabama Shakes, jumps to no.1 on the world's best-selling Albums chart after selling 127.000 copies this first week with 90.900 of those in the USA alone. It's the only Album this week with sales of over 100.000 globally.
Last week's chart-topper, 'Handwritten' by teen-idol Shawn Mendes, goes down to no.18 after just 29.000 sales in its second week in the stores. J-Pop Boyband Johnny's West debuts with 'Paripipo' and sales of 81.161, according to Oricon.
At no.4 this week is the third studio album by the American rapper Yelawolf, signed to Eminem's label, Shady Records. 'Love Story' debuts with 70.000 sales. Just behind at no.6 lands another rapper, SpongeBozz from Germany. His first album 'Planktonweed Tape' has sold 55.000 copies in its first week.
Legendary Mexican rock band Maná debut at no.10 this week with their ninth album 'Cama Incendiada' and sales of 47.000.
